Position Title
Glaucoma Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking a fellowship trained Glaucoma Specialist to join a well-established, independent physician led ophthalmology practice. This position is designed for a glaucoma focused ophthalmologist who will manage complex medical and surgical glaucoma while collaborating closely with comprehensive and subspecialty colleagues.
The role offers a strong referral base, modern diagnostic and surgical resources, and the opportunity to build and grow a high-quality glaucoma service line.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage the full spectrum of glaucoma, including primary open angle, angle closure, secondary, and complex glaucoma
- Provide advanced medical glaucoma care and longitudinal disease management
- Perform glaucoma laser procedures, including SLT and LPI
- Perform incisional glaucoma surgery, including trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and MIGS as appropriate
- Comanage cataract and glaucoma patients with comprehensive ophthalmologists
- Interpret and utilize advanced diagnostics including OCT, visual fields, and imaging technologies
- Participate in call coverage consistent with a subspecialty role
Qualifications
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Ophthalmology residency
- Completion of a Glaucoma Fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology
- Eligible for medical licensure in the practice state
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high quality patient care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible Glaucoma Ophthalmologist
- MD degree required
- Fellowship training in Glaucoma
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical and surgical glaucoma care
- Ability to manage a high-volume glaucoma practice with growth potential
- Commitment to high quality, patient centered care within a collaborative group practice
- Willingness to practice primarily at the Cumberland office with occasional satellite clinic coverage
- Surgical procedures performed at the group’s ASC adjacent to the Buckhead location
- Interest in a partnership track position within a physician owned, independent ophthalmology group
